Knowing what to pack in your hospital bag when having a baby is a task that is much harder than it first appears, especially for a first time Mum. It’s hard to know what to pack for a situation you have never been in before and for a little person you haven’t yet met! Even for a Mum who has done it before it can be tricky as each birth experience can be so different.
I found knowing what to pack in my hospital bag a daunting task for all 3 of my children. The third being the trickiest as I knew there was a good chance of a cesarean.
But fear not! Using my experience of having both natural and cesarean births I thought it only right I create for you a “What To Pack In Your Hospital Bag” list. You can print this off and use it as a guide for packing your own bag. This 6-page list covers all the essentials that you should need for yourself, your partner and of course your new baby. It even has a page for a few extras you might need in case of cesarean. I have tried to cover all the basics plus a few extra items, you know the ones no one tells you about and that you don’t realise you need until you are already in the situation! I have also included room for you to add any of your own items to the list. As mentioned everyone’s birth experience is different so you may need a few more or a few less than what I suggested, take what you feel comfortable with.
