Please note, these toys were gifted, however all thoughts and opinions are mine and my kids!

What Are GeoSafari Kidnoculars And Their Features?

The boys were recently gifted a pair of these Geosafari Jr Kidnoculars Extreme. They are essentially binoculars that have the added bonus of sound!! They are focus free so they kids won’t get frustrated trying to adjust the focus every time they want to investigate something new, plus they also have 3x magnification so the kids can explore over large distances. There are headphones that are built in which amplify the surrounding sounds creating a more extreme experience plus a strap that features a breakaway connection for safety. Geosafari say that these binoculars “promote STEM-based scientific observation of nature, animals and more!”

The boys thought these were amazing. It took a few minutes for them to grasp the concept of looking through the kidnoculars and associating the sounds they could hear with being what they could see. They also kept forgetting that the rest of us couldn’t see exactly what they could see at that moment! They loved watching the birds in the trees and felt like they were spying on them, plus watching the bugs on the ground and seeing where they traveled to! Of course, being boys they also had to try and look up each others nose and mouths!

It was great for them to have the option of turning off the sound and being able to focus purely on what they could see. Isaiah (6) has always enjoyed looking through binoculars but due to their heavy weight his arms tire quickly however these are so lightweight he was able to use them for longer. If you have younger kids you also know that they like to get their hands on and have a go at whatever their older siblings are up to and these were great for that as they are nice and tough and as mentioned, not too heavy to handle.
