One of my boys’ favourite places to visit over the school holidays is Boost Trampoline Park. It’s essentially a warehouse full of trampolines.  It’s an ideal place to take the kids on a rainy day especially if they have a lot of energy to burn off (what kid doesn’t)?!

There are a few options for what you can do at Boost. The most popular session is Boost Jump. For this, you can book up to 3 hours and you have full access to the whole park. My boys always head straight to the main jump area then love the battle beam. Flinn, at only 5 looks like a hopeless contestant up against Wolf from Gladiators and lasts about 3 seconds. There is also a basketball hoop, a fidget ladder, massive foam pit (with a high diving board the boys also love) and dodgeball courts.

With all these areas it’s a great way for the kids to socialise, the boys always seem to make some new friends. I love this as I was so shy as a child and never dared talk to other kids. Looking back, I really regret this as I must have missed out on so many opportunities.

During term time they run an after school session that is 2 hours long and includes food so perfect when you’re not in the mood to cook dinner.

For the under 4s there are a few different sessions. There is the Boost Mini’s Under 4 which is fun in the foam pit and on the mini trampolines, Boost Mini Explore which runs during term time and gives them full access to the whole park and then Boost Family Explore which is a dedicated session for the Under 4’s and their older siblings.

Boost also has a Sensory session for any children under 4 who have any disabilities or special needs. These are run under low light and with a calm atmosphere.

Something I am keen to try is one of the Boost Fitness Sessions. There are a few to choose from such as Boost Bouncers, Boost Bootys, Boost Boxers and Boost Beats. These are only £7.50 per person and are held on weekday evenings.

The prices at Boost are pretty reasonable, for the Boost Jump sessions you are looking at £5 p/hr off-peak, £11 per child for the after school club and prices start from £5 per child for the under 4’s. In the past, I have got a discount code off Groupon which has saved a few £.

Last Summer, Boost offered a Summer pass. This was around £20 per child and meant that I could take them for as many sessions as they liked (up to 3 hours at a time) for the whole of the Summer holidays. I think we went about 5 or 6 times and what was in it for me was that I took my laptop, connected to their wifi and got 3 hours of work done in the cafe!

Keep an eye out in the lead up to holidays as Boost do offer special themed parties such as Halloween or Christmas events.

On that note – the cafe. Honestly, I don’t love it. It’s often very busy and you can be waiting in line for quite a while. There are your usual options for food – chips, hot dogs, paninis etc but on more than one occasion I have spent ages waiting for my order to arrive only to be told that it’s no longer available. This does frustrate me as you are not allowed to take in your own food.

As I mentioned before, my eldest 2 both love this park and because of that, I don’t mind taking them. If you go, just remember to take a book or something to entertain yourself unless you plan on jumping too of course! Anyone who is bouncing does need to wear Boost socks. You can buy these when you book or arrive at approx £2 and then you keep them for each visit after.

Boost Trampoline Park is located just off the A45, behind the shops at Riverside retail park. It has plenty of parking around the back but if that’s full you can park on the street or at the shops. They also have a Leicester park

The postcode for Boost, Northampton is NN3 9HU
