If you are looking for some Halloween events in Northamptonshire then this is the perfect guide for you. I have scoured the internet, local guides and websites to find all the best local kid-friendly Halloween events in Northamptonshire (and a couple a little further afield). These events include discos, pumpkin hunts, Halloween themed afternoon teas, fancy dress parties, ghost hunts by torchlight and more.
In the past, I haven’t really considered anything other than going trick & treating around the local streets but there are so many Halloween events in Northamptonshire, a lot of which fall over the half-term holidays that I’m sure I will take the boys to at least some!

Haunted Halloween at Abington Park Museum.
Join us for a spooktacular day of fun with scary craft activities and a haunted trail around the museum. Try the witches brew at the refreshments stall if you dare. Come dressed in your scariest costume.

Halloween Spooktacular Fancy Dress Party at Boost, Northampton.
The ghouls and ghosties will be descending on Boost trampoline parks for an evening of fun and mischief. Get into your most ghoulish costumes and dance, bounce and flip yourself silly at this spooktacular event. This is a 2-hour session which will include an hour of spooky games & an hour to explore our parks.

Let your Little Monsters jump wild at our special Halloween Family Explore session. Spooky Half Term Fun at West Lodge Rural Centre.
The ghosts of West Lodge Past have escaped and it’s your job to find them! Search the grounds of the farm to find all of the ghosts, prizes for the winners then join us back in the new adventure play area to meet the ghosts and dance at our spooky disco. Booking advised.

Pumpkin Hunt at Castle Ashby Gardens.
Follow the trail around our gardens to find the hidden pumpkins, once found, copy the face of the pumpkin on the activity sheet provided. Find all the pumpkins to win a prize! But watch out there could be some spooky goings-on too!

Halloween Lights at Black Country Museum.
Trick or treat along the Black Country Living Museum’s gas-lit cobbled streets and experience thrilling street entertainment from circus performers, fire-jugglers, magicians, a ‘monstrous’ mine and more!
Explore period shops and houses set across the Museum’s award-winning 26 acres and discover treats, tricks and terrifying tales of old as the Museum comes to life with Halloween entertainment. There’s plenty to get stuck into – brave the creepy crawlies display, meet our ‘creepy characters’ or win a prize for best-dressed ghoul in a costume parade. Daring visitors can even descend on foot ‘into the thick’ of the Museum’s ‘monstrous’ mine. Watch out though, you never know what you might find down there.
As always, visitors will be able to tantalise their tastebuds with some devilishly good Halloween fare including the Museum’s famous 1930s-style fish and chips. Little devils can trick or treat along the Museum’s atmospheric cobbled streets as characters dish out the good stuff.

Wicky’s Little Monsters Ball at Wicksteed Park.
Wicky Bear is holding his annual Little Monsters Ball, and he can’t wait! He and his crew will be performing some spooktacular dances as well as hosting party games and a disco. Come in fancy dress!
Tickets are £6.50* for kids and £2.50* for adults. Babies under 12 months go free. (*50p extra per person on the day of the party)

Do you dare take on our Haunted House? Brave the terrors in the dark, and beware of things that go bump in the night. See if you can make it to the exit, only a few survive… Are you brave enough?

Halloween Specials at Northampton & Lamport Railway, Chapel Brampton.
Ride our ghost train service this Halloween. See the display of around 40 hand-carved pumpkins and special night-time services over the weekend. Fancy Dress is encouraged.

Spooky Blast Fun Day at Fernie Field Scout & Community Centre.
There will be a range of sports to participate in plus craft stalls where you get to take away what you make, from Halloween suncatchers to scary pumpkins. If you come in fancy dress you will be entered into our costume competition.
Costs: under 3’s free / 4+ £6 / £10 for 2 children. Please book in advance as spaces are limited.
Spooktacular at Dobbies, multiple locations.
Enjoy Halloween as a family this year at Dobbies. Kids can get stuck into terrifying treats with afternoon tea before getting creative with creepy craft activities and ghoulish games. Each event will hold a fancy-dress competition, so make sure your little ones wear their most Spooktacular fancy dress costume to be in with a chance of winning a prize.

Pumpkin Hunt at Beckets Park.
Hunt for the pumpkins in Beckets Park on Halloween if you dare! Collect a form (£3 per entry) from Buddies of Beckets by the Pavilion and find all the pumpkins in the park. If you find all 10 pumpkins you will win a prize.
Halloween Disco at Sunnyside – Generous George.
Back again for another year is our kids Halloween disco! Fun and games and costume competition as usual!
£3 entry per child. Kids eat for £1 all week
Halloween Party at Brafield Working Mens Club.
All family’s welcome includes Disco and food for the children £1 per child.
Pick Your Own Pumpkin at Lillingstone
We have expanded and improved the pick-your-own experience and we cannot wait to welcome you back this October! There is sure to be the perfect pumpkin waiting for you!
Follow the straw path or take a trip on the tractor-trailer ride down to the patch where you can explore and choose your pumpkin! You will find pumpkins of all shapes and sizes from gourds to monster orange ones!
There will be hot and cold refreshments available on site for you to enjoy. There will also be a variety of activities for the children to enjoy such as pony-rides* face painting* and tractor-trailer rides.
*These activities will be available on set days and separate prices will apply for these activities. Like and follow our page for updates.
Entry to the pumpkin patch is free and there is free parking on site. Pumpkins will be priced individually depending on size.

The Halloween Village at The Role Play Village, Ise Lodge Pavillion.
We will have a special Role Play Village on 31st October. Join us for our Halloween themed village, come dressed up, explore our Spooky setups and receive a small treat or trick. We will end the session with a special Halloween Story from Millies Book Corner and you will be able to browse a variety of Usbourne Books available to purchase on the day.

and has a special cast meet & greet after the performance.
We are delighted that children’s TV’s Justin Fletcher has recorded the voice of Pongo the Pig; please note that Justin does not appear in person.

Spooktacular Party at Cherry Lane Garden Centre, Poddington.
Enjoy a ghoulishly good afternoon tea, whilst your little monsters tuck into a tasty hot meal! Have a fangtastic time decorating your very own creepy cupcake, make a scary mask, create a witches hat ice cream and take part in a devilishly cool game of musical statues!
You’ll be screaming with laughter!

Scarecrow Lantern Walk at Stanwick Lakes.
Get dressed up and join us as we make ghastly lanterns before heading out to spot spooky scarecrows and other creepy goings-on around Stanwick Lakes.
After the walk get to know some real creepy creatures, then warm up at the Cafe Solar with a free cookie for each hot drink purchased.

Halloween Party at Riverside Hub.
Treat your little monsters to our Halloween Party Night at the Hub. They’ll be having a ghoulishly good time with…
Ghostly Treasure Hunt with prizes, special Halloween disco and fancy dress competition, spooky tattoos and glitter art, Halloween candy floss or popcorn, witches special pottery painting workshop, plus all the amazing play facilities at the Hub – with lots of spooky (not scary) decorations and theming.
The Hub’s Halloween Parties are loads of fun, although tickets are limited, so booking in advance is recommended.

Pumpkin Patch & Carving at Mini Meadows Farm.
Join us to find your perfect pumpkin from our pumpkin patch. Use our mini wheelbarrows to get it back to the carving station. Have fun scooping out the seeds and then let your imagination run wild. What will you turn yours into? Get your adult to help you make your pumpkin Halloween-ready! All of our animals will be waiting to see you as well. Stroke the rabbits and the fluffy guinea pigs, giggle at the playful chipmunks and keep an eye on your animal feed when you visit the crafty llamas! Simple good fun no matter what your age (or even the weather). Huge indoor play area and sandpit, as well as picnic areas, cafe, outdoor play area and lots of animals to meet and feed.

We’ve got some creepy guests coming to Mini Meadows Farm for the day. No trick, join us for a real treat as you get up close to ZooLab’s creepy exotic team members from snakes to giant bugs and even a tarantula.

Spooky Family Yoga at Waddesdon Manor.
Family yoga is a fun, flowing class for parents/grandparents/carers and children to play and bond naturally, positively and mindfully through yoga movement, exploring breath, meditation and relaxation.
In this interactive class, the focus will be on the children, with the encouragement of the adults, guiding their children to explore yoga poses using games, songs, partner poses, stories and props. Yoga is always better together, so come and play, and spend quality time together as a family.

Messy Play Spooktacular at Multiple Locations.
Calling all witches, devils, cats and bats! Mess Around’s creepy, crawly, gruesome Spooktacular party has landed. Little ones can mix, pour, dig and explore, from ghostly mud to gory goo. Hear their cackles of delight as they get ghoulishly messy. So don’t be haunted by messy play, simply come along and mess around and leave the cleaning up to us!
The event is suitable for children aged 6 months (or sitting unaided) to 5 years old.

Pick Your Own Pumpkin at Deanshanger, Milton Keynes.
Come and join us to pick your own pumpkins straight from the farmers fields. We have 8 different varieties of pumpkin including giant white pumpkins, large orange pumpkins, medium sized pumpkins, striped pumpkins, small white pumpkins, eating pumpkins, in fact a pumpkin for each and every one of you. There will be a bale maze and a barrel train for the children and hot and cold refreshments.
Entry to the pumpkin patch is free of charge. Pumpkins will be priced individually depending on size.
